Chambolle-Musigny

"Clos le Village"

The Clos Le Village cuvée, comes from a half-hectare enclosure planted 35 years ago in the heart of Chambolle-Musigny, on clay-limestone soil.

The exposure is fully to the east, and the plot is located at mid-hill, at an altitude of about 300 meters.

The average yield is 45 HL / ha, producing about 3,000 bottles per year.

Tasting notes

Beautiful bright red garnet colour.

The nose is very sweet, evoking more black fruits than red.  The breeding is at 40% of new barrels of the best selection, delicately enveloping this aromatic palette to magnify it.

On the palate, the wine reveals itself directly. The vinification is very respectful of the grape, with the knowledge that one can gently profit from the potential of the earth. New barrels are integrated well, which suits this wood-wine cuvee harmoniously.  Warmer than that of Chambolle's "Vieilles Vignes", the final product displays notes of spiced bread and rum.
